Snowy weather
I know it has been very quiet recently, for many hedgehogs it is a quiet time but I just wanted to pop on and check in with everyone, and say Ihope everyone is staying safe in the weather.
We have had loads of snow, not as bad as Devon from what I have seen on the news - hope you and those you know and love are all OK.
Hope too that some fun has been had!!

Re: Snowy weather
Yes! I can finally post again.
I have not been to school for the whole of this week because of the snow. Yipee! The school was shut on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. It was open on Wednesday, but we could not go because the car could not get out of the drive- the ice!
I think they said there will be more snow tomorrow night, I'm hoping the school will be shut again.
Hope that people have had fun, I certainly have!!

Re: Snowy weather
Good to have you back!!
The roads and paths are so icy, we had to go shopping today and the car park was horrendous. The car is having to stay put, need to take a shovel out to move the snow from round it!!
Luckily my husband has a pick-up for work which is 4 wheel drive so we went in that. We did go into town too, and silly us parked in a little car park - that was fine. What wasn't so fine was the very icy slope we all slid down to the High Street!!
I was surprised how very slippery the High Street was, no salt or grit!

Re: Snowy weather
Over where we live (leicestershire) there is a shortage of salt and grit.
Most of the roads are really slippery and slidey, our car, no longer a 4 by 4, suffered the brunt of it all. Luckly there was no colisions, just a few near missis with other cars.
Trish, I no I should not laugh at your car sliding down the high street, as there may have been an accident, but it does sound fun!!

Re: Snowy weather
We have also had trouble with the snow and the ice, not being able to get the van out of the drive was one of them. Also, the Hedgehogs did not exacly like the cold weather either, many are now in hibernation as a result.
