Sick Hedgehog On The loose!
Hi all.
A few hours ago, nextdoor informed me that they had a Hedgehog in their Garden, that was out in the day.
But by the time I had a look it had already gone. I told the neighbour to phone the local Hedgehog Rescue, which she did. They gave her some advice, but not enough. She told me that she had found the Hedgehog on her garden lawn, and it had then run off under some chicken wire into the next garden.
I told her to put down some cat or dog meat, and also told her that any Hedgehogs out in the day were very sick. She said that the Hedgehog was very small, about the size of her hand and did not curl up when she tried to grab it, instead it ran off.
To me, this Hedgehog sounds very sick.
I gave her the local Hedgehog Rescue address in case she found it and also told her to put down some food near where the Hedgehog had went under the fence. I strongly adviced her to keep a close eye.
I have been out there all afternoon looking for the poor thing, in the freezing cold.
Food has been put down, but I'm just not sure if that is enough? The chances are it is long gone, but I've informed everyone about the Hedgehog.
I sure hope someone finds it.

Yeah. Only a bit because we have almost run out nextdoor's garden is completely section off from ours, infact- it is almost enclosed. So I wonder how the Hedgehog got in there?

I have done everything I can, for the moment. I can only hope that it will survive and will be found before it is too late

Unfortunately it was not found there was nothing more that I could do. I know I did the best I could, so will not let that bring me down- will still keep an eye out for them all the same.

Re: Sick Hedgehog On The loose!
Last Saturday. It is very unfortunate. I have not seen many Hedgehogs since then. Nextdoor have been on the look out too, so I told them. Hopefuly it will be found in the near future.

It is very unfortunate. That is all I can say. I hope that one day I will be able to find it, but as it was out in the day light them I'm just not sure if it will still be alive.

Hmm. That happens a lot with me. You see a Hedgehog in need and look what happens, it vanishes.
Have nextdoor still got food out for it?
