Update On Lucky
Well, I made a post more than a month ago now on Lucky. He is the small boy we found, we were certain he was going to die, but he did not. That's why he is called Lucky.
Anyway, here is my update.
Lucky is doing really well. 2 weeks ago we started to construct an aviary to keep them in, you know, like a giant enclosure. We put his box in there, but we found that it was far too cold for him. So, we got a new shed and cut this hole at the bottom of it, so he could go in and out of the shed as he please. We made a little door to cover the hole so that he would be warm. The whole thing is huge, like a little garden, with an outside bit and an inside bit. Perfect!
We found that the enclosure was so good, we would put a few of the other Hedgehogs out, as some are cramped in inside the house. So we put Henry, Tiggy, Spike and Bramble out with him.
Went in last night, and they were all looking after Lucky, all snuggled up together, apart from Tiggy, the female who wanted to sleep elsewhere.
Lucky is doing great, and has found a new favourite, food- Wiskas cat food. He loves it! He is nice and fat now, nothing like the Hog he used to be. He weighs a massive 812g!!!
More updates later.

Re: Update On Lucky
wow, big boy!!
its funny how being solitary animals they seem to huddle together. i put two in my shed with the four babes i raised and they've all decided to share the same box, i have no idea how they all fit in but they've managed it

Re: Update On Lucky
I think that we still have a lot to learn about Hedgehogs- somethings just don't make sense. The solitary thing needs to be looked in to alot more I think.
Good luck with him.
