Poppy And Lola

Well finally moved Poppy and Lola into the shed with the others, hopefully they should be okay all together, they have their own boxes.
Will be looking at letting them into the enclosure in the spring to keep an eye on them and then finally release, all being well.

I look forward to hearing updates on them, hope too they do well - I love their names!!

thanx, name poppy came from the markings on her face, looks like the inside of the flower and lola just looked like a lola!
theres four more in the shed that i hand-reared from about a week old, hopefully they should be okay together

Are they together or in separate enclosure in the shed?

they all have the shed floor space, lola has her own box and so does poppy. the others all share an old wooden toy box together, they are about four months old now but always sleep together. just been down to check them and its all quiet although some one has been out for food. will see how they go and if they need separting completely i have some old avairy panels i can use.

They sound happy, hope it continues!

My Dad used to have two massive avaries, but he took them down, so if needs be, I could use them

Sounds like they are happy in their shed, a nice place to be in this weather.

well went to check lola and poppy this morning, and they've both decided to move in with the four hogs in the bigger box! i'm not completely sure how they've all managed to fit in there though

checked them earlier and three of the babes i raised have woken up! i'm suspecting poppy might have something to do with it, shes a big girl
i have left the other boxes in there and hopefully they will sort it out between themselves nicely.
will keep an eye on them though.

Lol, I hope all goes well with them. Maybe they thought it was warmer with the other Hedgehogs. Talk about them being solitary creatures!
