Another one.

Had another bought to me last night, little girl, really small, I don't think it even weighs 200 grams. Haven't had a chance to weigh her yet as haven't been well but she has been eating well, so hopefully a good sign.

shes eating well, still haven't been able to weigh her, but will def do tomorow as i think she needs some baytril, her poops are very smelly, i'm just hoping its just all the food shes been eating and not something serious. she seems pretty lively.

Well, if she is active then surely it is a good sign.

thanx feeling slightly better today, managed to at least go pick my daughter up from school, not much on the eating front though but its a start!
little one is still eating okay adn will def weigh her tomorow, have added some honey to her food just incase the runny poops is just a change of diet and will see if this changes tomorow.

do you think if I put honey on the food he might eat better

he might do, they tend to love honey, just mix it in a bit so hes not just licking it off, it helps them if they have an icky belly too. maybe try and hand feed him some on something first to see if he likes it and that way at least if he doesn't he won't miss out on a nights feed.

He must be eating something as he has only lost 10g since thusday night, still round and very strong, he as 5 different foods in the box tonight plus some kitten rearing milk so if he at least gets a good drink he will get some good norishment. can't force feed him yet cause he to strong.

sounds like hes doing good! if hes steadily putting on weight over time then a little weight loss here and there is just something to keep an eye on, i would think anyway.

Ron, you are doing a great job by the sounds of it. As long as it is not a huge weight loss, then he will be ok.

weighed her last night,325grams! not bad but as its her first weigh in since i had her can't tell if shes put it on but shes eating well. the only prob is she comes out in the day and goes to bed at night nothing wrong with her sight etc, hopefully she'll get her body clock the right way round soon. oh, and we've called her dotty because shes tiny despite her weight

Her body clock will sort out once she is a bit bigger, I wouldn't worry.

dotty is still doing well. has anyone noticed that despite good weights the hedgehogs appear smaller in size compared to spring/summer ones? shes a nice round shape but tiny in appearance

Hmm. I have not noticed that, but I've not had to look after many this year. I see what you mean though.

well shes still eating okay but has runny poops, so will start panacur tonight and see how she goes, just hope this isn't the start of something.
