Number 3!!
At lunchtime I had a call from the vet - a member of the public had found a hedgehog in a park and took it straight to the vet.
Off I went!
Looks older than the 2 I have, got quite big feet! Only weighs 342g, no ticks I can see but does have fleas which the vets said they treated.
I got it home, and just left it in peace with food and water - it has eaten which is a good sign. Some poo is greenish so as I always do anyway will give Panacur.
Going to do checks in a few minutes, so will be able to hopefully give some more information soon.

Re: Number 3!!
It's a girl!! So that makes 3 girls here!
We have called her Ducky - as in the film Land Before Time one of the little dinosaurs was called Ducky and had big feet, like this hedgehog!!
She is bigger than the others, but quite underweight.
There is a little blood in her poo - I have given Panacur already which she took nicely via a syringe and hope that this helps her. I don't want to stress her, so she is tucked up with food and a bowl with International Rehydration Fluid in.

Re: Number 3!!
Her spines are now laying flat.
Her breathing was a little fast when I looked at her but maybe that was because I disturbed her.
She has eaten a little, and has made some little grunting noises.
So some is positive but some negative.

Wow Trish, another! I sure hope she gets better very soon. She is very lucky to have you, so I'll be hoping that all goes well for her.
I love the Land Before Time! It was one of my favourite films when I was little!

Re: Number 3!!
Ducky seems ever so slightly better, is eating which is good - OK it's not much but it's better than none.
Fingers crossed for her.

Re: Number 3!!
Ducky took her Panacur so nicely this evening!!!
Her poop is looking much better, as soon as her box was cleaned and fresh food and a new dish of IRF (International Rehydration Fluid) put in she had some of both straight away.
I'm not taking a photo of her just yet, I feel she needs more time before seeing a brief flash.

Re: Number 3!!
Again she took her Panacur beautifully, and tucked into a little cooked chicken. Her poo is looking much better, and is eating and drinking on her own. She looks tired though, kind of got a 'can't be bothered' look about her.
Re: Number 3!!
As long as she is doing ok. Love, love, love the name.

Re: Number 3!!
Sadly Ducky didn't make it.
She ate nothing over night, didn't go to the toilet either - the same can be said for all day yesterday.

Re: Number 3!!
Sorry to hear that Trish. She was just starting on the road to recovery. It is a reminder that they can take a turn for the worst very quickly and suddenly. I am sure you tried you best.
