I have a large female Hog called Poppy and I think shes getting ready for hibernation!
She's big enough and has been wormed etc, I was wondering whether to place her into the enclosed bit of garden and see how she goes, let her hibernate there and release in spring. She makes these funny noises and it's hard to tell if theres anything wrong with her. Also the weather here looks to be hitting as low as 1 degree so I don't want to let her go and then get caught in a cold snap and struggle.
What do you think? Unsure
I think I have all the others over winter too, as they seem to be putting weight on slowly.

If it was me I would put her in the enclosed garden bit and then release her in Spring. She is a wild animal, and it makes me feel guilty leaving them in a tiny place for the winter. So I would say, at that weight, put her in the enclosed garden.

I would agree, let her go in the enclosed garden. Yes

Yeah, the enclosed garden one is best. Good idea as well. I'll see if I can do the same.

I would delay it just a bit if it was me. Hedgehogs can live with a bit of snow, but I would rather it was warm.
